Welcome to our 3rd Annual Invention to Venture Workshop!

This is the 3rd Annual Invention to Venture (I2V) workshop  hosted by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and the Charlton College of Business in collaboration with Bridgewater State College, Bristol Community College and Cape Cod Community College. The workshop is an introduction to the process and practice of technology entrepreneurship and is a collaboration between the Charlton College of Business and the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA).

 

The goal is to engage a wide range of participants from the university community, including science and technology students and faculty as well as members of the surrounding business community.  Speakers will discuss such topics such as idea validation, intellectual property licensing,  marketing for early stage companies, creating a business plan, and raising capital.  

 

This year's theme is Sustainable Technologies, with speakers from successful companies producing technologies that promote sustainability . Sustainability is a forward looking multi-disciplinary perspective that addresses both current and long-term economic, social, and environmental relations and concerns. It refers to the studied and planned use of human and non-human resources, with the goal of providing for future generations while maintaining quality of life today.
