What is IdeaLab anyway?IdeaLab is
a new, intensive, experiential workshop for students that takes you
through a highly dynamic process proven to create viable initiatives and
business concepts.
You will explore ideas in a highly creative
environment, learn to evaluate them and quickly iterate to come up with
the best solution to a problem or opportunity. You'll form a team and
determine the next steps to move your idea forward. Serious teams
committed to advancing their idea may receive some seed funds.
What sorts of problems or opportunities will be addressed?
Energy, CO2 emissions, waste and other major challenges facing universities will be addressed.
Do I need to have an idea for a business to attend the workshop?
No! In fact, we'd prefer you didn't!
You don't need to have a business idea but you should be eager to
explore opportunities at your university in areas such as energy, food,
water, waste, greenhouse gas emissions and transportation.
Who will be accepted?
Students from all majors and backgrounds who are interested in
solving the big problems facing universities and who want to develop and
