Welcome to Invention to Venture: University of Portland

Dates:  February 13th and 14th, 2009

The University of Portland will host a Friday evening plus all day Saturday conference on starting new ventures.  The social event Friday evening is downtown Portland and the all day Saturday sessions will be at the Portland State Business Accelerator near the South Waterfront district.

This event is intended primarily for college and university students, but is  open to anyone interested in transforming ideas into ventures.  Guest speakers and panelists are experts drawn from the Pacific Northwest and across the country.

Registration Fee:

$25 for Students and University Faculty & Staff

$50 for all others

The registration fee includes the Friday evening reception and Saturday continental breakfast, lunch, and breaks.

Hotel:  A block of rooms at The Mark Spencer hotel in downtown Portland has been reserved for the night of February 13.  Their rates are $109/night for a Executive Suite Guest room (+12.5% hotel tax) (sleeps four with one Queen bed and one pull-out couch).  Please contact Casey O'Donnell, Sales Manager (codonnell@markspencer) to reserve one of these rooms.  Deadline for room registration is January 31, 2009.
