Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host a one-day workshop Thursday, October 7 on the basics of invention entrepreneurship: moving your great idea towards commercialization.

The workshop is intended primarily for college and university students, but is also open to anyone who wants to know more about this very important topic. Presentations will focus on venture capital, marketing, intellectual property, business plans, and related topics. Guest speakers are experts drawn from the region.

Invention to Venture workshops are held in cooperation with the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA).

Participant guide, lunch and a continental breakfast are all included in the workshop fee.

Cost: $5 Saluki CEO Corps Members, $10 Students, $15 Faculty & Staff (any College or University), and $20 Business Community & Other.
