Invention to Venture: Social and Commercial Innovation in New Orleans

In partnership with the Tulane Entrepreneurs' Association, New Orleans Bio Innovation Center, Social Entrepreneurship Initiative, Tulane's Net Impact Chapter, and Department of Biomedical Engineering, Tulane University's Levy-Rosenblum Institute for Entrepreneurship will host a one-day workshop on the basics of technology commercialization, social entrepreneurship, and new venture planning.
The workshop is intended for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty as well as business community members. Presentations, lectures, and speakers will focus on technology commercialization, social entrepreneurship, business planning, venture capital, intellectual property, elevator pitches, and other related topics. Speakers at Invention to Venture include experts with national stature as well as regional leaders and technology entrepreneurs.
At this one day, fast-moving, focused workshop, participants will:
• Discover how technology commercialization can be utilized in the pursuit of social good.
• Learn the tools needed to transform an innovative idea into a new technology venture.
• Hear from a distinguished panel of successful entrepreneurs.
• Network with industry professionals.
The Invention to Venture workshop is held in cooperation with the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA)
