His previous commercialization experiences include founding Isothermal Systems Research, Inc. (better known as ISR/Spraycool) in 1988. He also currently serves as the Innovation Partnership Zone administrator and assists in coordinating collaborative research initiatives with the zone partners including Washington State University and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Under this program, Dr. Tilton is establishing a clean technology research center of excellence that includes a small business incubator. He is widely published and is a named inventor on more than 17 issued U.S. Patents. He also often participates as a conference or panel speaker at industry events. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.

Grant Norton PhD Professor of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Washington State University and Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs in the College of Engineering and Architecture. Professor Norton obtained his PhD in Materials from Imperial College, London and spent a two-year postdoctoral at Cornell University before joining Washington State University in 1991. He was an AFOSR Faculty Research Associate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and spent the 1999/2000 academic year as a Visiting Professor at Oxford University. From 2000 to 2005 Professor Norton was Chair of Materials Science at Washington State University. He is author or coauthor of over 160 papers in the archival literature, several book chapters, and two textbooks. Professor Norton serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Materials Science. Prior to entering academia, Norton worked for two major multinational companies based in Europe, including four years with Heraeus where he was responsible for the development of thick film and packaging materials for the electronics industry. Professor Norton has consulted for a number of companies and organizations, including the United States Air Force in the area of thin film technology and Advanced Silicon Materials, one of the world's largest suppliers of high purity silicon.

Jim Schlosser Co-Founder, CEO, Director, Pacinian

Joe Herzog Chief Financial Officer, Northwest Venture Associates 

Joe Herzog has over twenty years of experience providing financial, accounting, tax, valuation and strategic expertise to emerging Pacific Northwest companies. As NWVA's Chief Financial Officer, Joe has structured and facilitated several dozen venture financing transactions for portfolio companies, and has provided CFO services to GreenCupboards, Connect Northwest, Dategrity, Pacific Northwest Biotechnologies and others. Previously, he was CFO at Voyager Capital where he helped launch two venture funds. Keith Jones Ph.D.  Executive Director of the Office of Intellectual Property Administration and Executive Director of the WSU Research Foundation at Washington State University in February 2005. Formerly he was director of Commercialization in Life Sciences for Virginia Tech Intellectual Properties Inc. His experience also includes serving as Scientific Adviser to Lyon & Lyon LLP in San Diego, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the country. In that role, he was involved in litigation involving key patents in plant biotechnology. He also has worked for Mycogen Corp., an agricultural biotechnology company in San Diego, conducting agricultural biotechnology technical development and marketing in the Middle East and Southeast Asia and serving as a research scientist. 

The Washington State Research Foundation is a non-profit corporation that facilitates the transfer of research and technology from the WSU campuses statewide into the private sector. Dr Jones earned his Ph.D. in plant pathology at North Carolina State University and is the holder of three patents.

Brian Kraft Ph.D.
Technology Manager, Physical Sciences WSU Office of Intellectual Property 

Brian began working in the Office of Intellectual Property Administration (OIPA) in August, 2005. In his joint appointment with OIPA and the WSU Research Foundation (WSURF), he is involved with intellectual property protection and licensing, covering a wide range of functions. His responsibilities include; assessing invention disclosures, working with patent attorneys on application filings, marketing technologies, and negotiating licenses.

Brian is a Washington native and holds undergraduate degrees from Central Washington University in biology and chemistry, and obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry (inorganic and analytical specializations) from Indiana University. After graduate school, he worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Utilizing a combination of classic microbiology and advanced imaging methods, he worked on a diverse set of projects ranging from soil microbiology to structural inorganic chemistry.
